Yoga retreat in Le Grand-Bornand · Entre Ciel et Terre

A moment suspended in time

Just 2 hours from Lyon and 1 hour 15 minutes from Geneva, treat yourself to a 4-day / 3-night escape in the beautiful Haute-Savoie. From 14 to 17 January 2027, Flowaway invites you to Le Grand-Bornand, where you will stay in a magnificent 360 m² chalet featuring sleek, contemporary décor, nestled in the heart of the Aravis mountain range.

For this new Flowaway retreat, “Entre ciel et terre,” you will enjoy the wide variety of floor-based yoga practices that usually shape the rhythm of our retreats. This time, however, the programme will also feature an exciting new experience: aerial yoga. Alexandra and Maïwenn, both qualified to teach this discipline, will invite you to explore your body in a new way, play with unfamiliar sensations and, quite literally, gain a little height. It is a wonderful opportunity to enrich your regular practice and discover the joys of suspension.

Between sessions, you will have plenty of time to embrace the gentle pleasures of mountain living: walks in the snow, moments of relaxation, shared meals and themed evenings will fill these few days with warmth, joy and togetherness.

This retreat is open to both women and men who already practise yoga and is not suitable for complete beginners. Previous experience of aerial yoga is also recommended, so that you already feel comfortable with the sensations of practising while suspended.

A few days to practise, breathe, laugh, connect and surrender to the magic of winter in the mountains.

Full board by a private chef · Adam Brunet

The culinary experience

During your retreat, mealtimes are not a break from the programme, they are part of the experience. Adam plans each day around your practice, starting with a ginger and lemon infusion and a balanced morning snack.

After the morning sessions, enjoy a vibrant, light and colourful brunch: smoothie bowls, homemade granola, seasonal fruit, freshly pressed juices, avocado toast, eggs Benedict and more, all designed to sustain you without weighing you down.

In the evening, Adam serves more elaborate dishes with surprising, unforgettable flavours, culminating in a celebratory dinner on the final night.

Ingredients are sourced each morning from local producers and nearby markets. Adam plates each dish in front of you, shares the story behind it and joins the conversation, creating the memories you will take home from the retreat.

Please note that the menu will not be vegetarian, although the chef will accommodate specific dietary requirements.

A private chef since 2018, Adam Brunet creates thoughtful French cuisine inspired by the seasons and by ingredients he personally selects at local markets. Introduced to cooking at the age of 16 on his family farm, he worked in Cannes, the Alps and the Arcachon Bay area before launching his career as a private chef after 10 years in the hospitality and restaurant industry. His contemporary take on traditional French cuisine showcases exceptional ingredients without unnecessary embellishment, explores contrasting textures and ensures that no two menus are ever the same.

“Cooking is about sharing. What I love is seeing your reactions firsthand, rather than from behind a kitchen door.”Adam Brunet, chef

What people say

This retreat was absolutely magical, from the breathtaking nature to the laughter, tears, and deep peace we shared. Meeting incredible new women and reconnecting with beautiful souls I already knew, including our amazing teachers Alex & Maïwenn, was such a gift. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for creating these sacred moments of peace, sisterhood, and pure fun. As I said during our closing circle, these retreats have become essential in my life, real anchors for my well-being and joy.

Retreat — September 2025

The yoga retreats I share with Maïwenn and Alexandra, and with everyone else there, are far more than a simple pause in my hundred-mile-an-hour daily life. They are sacred moments where time stands still, where kindness flows freely and where everyone can simply be. At every moment, I feel immense gratitude for the bonds that form, for the gentleness of the souls present, and for the peace that settles deep within me.

Retreat — September 2025

I had the chance to go on a retreat with Flowaway, and every moment spent together was pure joy. Alexandra is a ray of sunshine: incredible energy, creativity, and also so much generosity. She guided me with kindness to explore challenging poses and push beyond my limits. Maïwenn, with her incredible gentleness, introduced me to the magic of Yoga Dance — every flow with her was a true exchange and a moment of deep connection. If you are looking for a moment out of time, full of inspiration and sharing, dive into their world!

Retreat — May 2025

Such a huge thank you to Maïwenn and Alex for this magical retreat in the middle of the snowy peaks. It truly was a luminous, gentle interlude, full of sisterhood. The group's energy was beautiful and touching, with so much kindness and care for one another… And that is thanks to you two: Maïwenn with your softness, your grace, your innate elegance and your soothing presence, with this little being growing in your belly, and Alex with your joie de vivre, your contagious energy, your enthusiasm and your perfectionism. THANK YOU. For me it was also a true rebirth, as I was coming back to yoga after my fracture, and being able to do it in such gentle conditions was a real gift. THANK YOU.
